Brief Description of Activities: The Jersey Green Room Club recognizes the immense value of the Arts in Jersey. The Jersey Green Room Club produces musicals, pantomimes and plays each year at Jersey Opera House and Jersey Arts Centre. The Management Committee is made up of 14 members who control, advise and support the Club to be both artistically and financially successful. We have approximately 130 active members. All rehearsals and Committee meetings are held out our club room in Val Plaisant, St Helier.
Volunteer Position: Premises Manager (sitting on the Management Committee)
Brief Description of Duties: The Jersey Green Room Club is looking for someone to fulfil the role of Premises Manager, while maintaining an active position on our Management Committee. We meet monthly to discuss a variety of subjects such as productions, premises, business and other matters. We require a Premises Manager to ensure that our building is fit for purpose, advising on, and proactively attending to, any work that requires attention. The Premises Manager will liaise with the cleaning contractor to ensure that the club is clean and tidy, and advise the Committee of any professional or extensive work that needs to be undertaken. Duties may include (but are not limited to): checking all rooms in the building to ensure they are safe and secure; painting; routine maintenance; testing the fire alarms; ensuring that the fire extinguishers are fit for purpose; and being the point of contact for the cleaning contractor and fire alarm services.
